After-Hours & Emergency HVAC Service
When your heating or cooling system fails outside of regular business hours, it helps to know what options are available before you need them. Titan Heating & Cooling offers seasonal after-hours HVAC service during Rochester's peak heating and cooling seasons, with priority scheduling for Titan Protection Plan and Titan Shield members.

We're not a 24/7 HVAC company— by design.

Instead, we've built a smarter after-hours service model that provides weekend emergency coverage during the times of year homeowners need it most while supporting the technicians who care for your home.

We believe exceptional customer service starts with exceptional employees. By focusing our after-hours coverage during the times of year when urgent heating and cooling issues are most common, we're creating a healthier workplace, attracting and retaining exceptional technicians, and delivering the professional service our customers have trusted for decades.

It's a different approach than many HVAC companies take, but we believe it's the right balance for our employees, our customers, and the long-term success of Titan Heating & Cooling.
Highly Reviewed By Your Neighbors
Why We Chose This Approach
At Titan Heating & Cooling, we believe exceptional customer service starts with exceptional employees. That's why we've intentionally designed our after-hours service program to support a healthier work-life balance for our technicians while continuing to provide dependable service during the times of year our customers need it most.
For decades, many HVAC companies have relied on demanding on-call schedules that require technicians to remain available nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the year. While that approach offers greater availability, it can also contribute to employee fatigue, burnout, and high turnover.
We chose a different path.
By concentrating our after-hours service during Rochester's peak heating and cooling seasons, we're creating a workplace that attracts and retains outstanding technicians—people who are engaged, experienced, and committed to providing exceptional service. We believe investing in our employees ultimately benefits every customer we serve through better workmanship, greater consistency, and stronger long-term relationships.

How Our After-Hours Service Works
Titan's after-hours HVAC service is designed to provide assistance when unexpected heating and cooling problems are most likely to occur. Rather than maintaining a year-round on-call schedule, we focus our after-hours coverage during Rochester's busiest heating and cooling seasons.
During our active after-hours seasons, customers experiencing urgent comfort issues can contact Titan for assistance outside of normal business hours. Titan Protection Plan and Titan Shield members receive priority scheduling whenever after-hours service is available.
Routine maintenance, equipment estimates, and non-urgent repairs are scheduled during our regular business hours so our technicians can focus after-hours resources where they're needed most.

Why We Focus on Peak Heating & Cooling Seasons

Rochester's most urgent HVAC emergencies almost always occur during periods of extreme weather. Heating failures are most critical during the coldest winter months, while air conditioning failures become most urgent during the hottest weeks of summer. By concentrating our after-hours service during these peak seasons, Titan can provide dependable emergency coverage when homeowners are most likely to need it while avoiding unnecessary year-round on-call demands that contribute to technician burnout.
What Happens When You Call After Hours?
When you call Titan outside of our normal business hours, you'll hear a recorded message with instructions based on the current time of year and our after-hours service schedule.
If after-hours service is available, the recording will explain how to request emergency service from our on-call technician.

If after-hours service is not available, simply leave us a detailed voicemail. Our office reviews all after-hours messages promptly when we reopen.
Our First Priority the Next Business Day
A customer without heating or cooling isn't simply added to the end of the schedule.
At Titan, complete system failures receive scheduling priority. When after-hours service isn't available, our first priority the next business day is helping customers whose heating or cooling systems are completely inoperable. These calls are scheduled ahead of routine maintenance and non-urgent service whenever possible so we can restore your comfort as quickly as possible.
Current After-Hours Service Schedule
Titan's after-hours HVAC service is intentionally focused on the times of year when unexpected heating and cooling failures are most common. The schedule below explains when after-hours service is available and what you can expect throughout the year.
Peak Heating & Cooling Seasons
December - February & June - August
Saturday: 8:00am - 12:00 pm
Sunday: 8:00am - 12:00 pm
Monday - Friday: No after-hours service
After-hours service is not available on major holidays
Off-Peak Seasons
March - May & September - November
Saturday - Sunday: No after-hours service
Monday - Friday: No after-hours service
Service requests: Scheduled during normal business hours
During our off-peak seasons, most HVAC repairs, while inconvenient, are not emergencies and can safely be handled the next business day.
What Qualifies as an Urgent HVAC Service Call?
Our after-hours service is intended for unexpected heating and cooling problems that significantly affect your home's comfort or safety during our active service seasons.
Examples may include:

-
Complete loss of heat during cold weather
-
Complete loss of air conditioning during extreme summer temperatures
-
Water leaking from HVAC equipment that could cause damage

Routine maintenance, thermostat programming, noisy equipment, filter replacements, minor performance concerns, and equipment estimates are scheduled during normal business hours.
Why This Matters
We understand that our after-hours service model is different from what some HVAC companies advertise. We also believe it's a better long-term approach for both our employees and our customers.
By reducing year-round on-call demands, our technicians have more time to rest, spend with their families, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. In return, our customers are served by experienced professionals who are engaged, focused, and committed to delivering exceptional workmanship—not technicians who have been working around the clock for days at a time.
At Titan Heating & Cooling, we believe taking care of our employees helps us take better care of our customers. That's the philosophy behind our after-hours service program, and it's one of the many ways we're building a stronger company for the future.
Life-Safety Emergencies
Not every HVAC problem is an emergency—but some situations require immediate action. If you smell natural gas, your carbon monoxide alarm sounds, or you suspect a fire or other life-threatening hazard, leave the building immediately and call 911 and your natural gas utility company from a safe location. Never remain in the home or attempt to diagnose the problem yourself.

Once emergency responders or your utility company have addressed the immediate hazard and determined that it is safe to re-enter the home, Titan Heating & Cooling should be your next call. Our experienced technicians will inspect your heating and cooling equipment, identify the cause of the problem, and perform the necessary repairs to safely restore your system to proper operation.

"We believe taking care of our employees is one of the best ways to take care of our customers."
Frequently Asked Questions about Titan's After-Hours HVAC Service
Need more information about Titan Heating & Cooling's after-hours HVAC service? Below are answers to some of the most common questions about when after-hours service is available, how priority scheduling works, and what you can expect when you need help outside of regular business hours.
Does Titan Heating & Cooling offer after-hours HVAC service?
Yes. Titan Heating & Cooling offers limited after-hours HVAC service during the peak heating and cooling seasons to assist customers with urgent heating and air conditioning issues outside of normal business hours. Our seasonal after-hours program allows us to provide dependable support while ensuring our technicians remain well-rested and able to deliver the high-quality service our customers expect.
When is after-hours HVAC service available?
After-hours HVAC service is offered during our busiest heating and cooling seasons, when unexpected equipment failures are most common. During these periods, weekend after-hours service is available to assist customers with urgent comfort issues. Outside of these seasonal periods, service requests received after business hours are scheduled for the next available business day.
Do Titan Protection Plan and Titan Shield members receive priority service?
Yes. Customers enrolled in a Titan Protection Plan, along with Titan Shield members, receive priority scheduling whenever after-hours HVAC service is available. While every customer is important to us, our members receive priority because they have made an ongoing investment in maintaining their heating and cooling systems with Titan.
Why doesn't Titan offer 24/7 emergency HVAC service?
We believe exceptional customer service begins with exceptional employees. Rather than requiring technicians to work around the clock every day of the year, Titan has adopted a balanced after-hours service model that supports both our customers and our team. By providing seasonal after-hours coverage during periods of highest demand, we help prevent employee burnout while ensuring our technicians are rested, focused, and prepared to deliver the professional service Titan is known for.
What types of HVAC problems should be reported after hours?
After-hours HVAC service is intended for urgent heating and cooling problems that cannot reasonably wait until the next business day, such as a complete loss of heating during cold weather or a complete loss of cooling during extreme summer temperatures. Routine maintenance, minor repairs, equipment estimates, and non-urgent concerns are scheduled during our normal business hours.
What should I do if I smell natural gas or my carbon monoxide alarm sounds?
A natural gas leak, carbon monoxide alarm, fire, or any other life-safety emergency should never be treated as a routine HVAC service call. Leave the building immediately and call 911 and your natural gas utility company from a safe location. Once the immediate hazard has been addressed and the area has been declared safe, contact Titan Heating & Cooling to inspect or repair your heating equipment as needed.
Does Titan offer emergency furnace repair after hours?
Yes. During our peak heating season (December through February), Titan offers limited after-hours service on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for customers experiencing unexpected heating system failures. If after-hours service is unavailable when you call, leave us a detailed voicemail. Customers without heat receive priority scheduling when our office reopens.
What if my air conditioner stops working after business hours?
During our cooling season (June through August), Titan provides limited weekend after-hours service on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. If your system becomes inoperable outside of these hours, we'll prioritize your service request and schedule the earliest available appointment when our office reopens.
Why doesn't Titan offer 24/7 HVAC service year-round?
We believe exceptional customer service starts with exceptional employees. By focusing our after-hours service during the times of year when homeowners are most likely to experience urgent heating or cooling problems, we're able to provide meaningful emergency coverage while supporting a healthier work-life balance for our technicians. This approach helps us retain experienced professionals, reduce burnout, and continue delivering the high-quality service our customers expect.
Will my service request be forgotten if I call after hours?
No. Every after-hours voicemail is reviewed promptly when our office reopens. Customers whose heating or cooling systems are completely inoperable receive priority scheduling and are typically among the first appointments assigned. Our goal is to restore your comfort as quickly as possible while providing the professional service Titan is known for.
